Meet Lexis | The Photographer Behind Little & Loyal Studio
Little & Loyal Studio is a New Jersey pet photography studio specializing in studio-style portraits for dogs, cats and other companions, created in the comfort of clients’ homes throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas.
Growing up, I’ve always had pets in my life.
Naturally, at five years old, I thought I had a zoo. I had a bunny, a guinea pig, a hamster, two birds, and three dogs.
I’m Lexi, the photographer behind Little & Loyal Studio, and pets have always been one of the biggest parts of my life.
What I think about now is how few physical photographs I actually have of them. I have hundreds of digital images from later years that disappeared with broken phones, old social platforms and forgotten passwords, but only a few physical photographs of me with some of my pets from childhood. Those few photographs became priceless to me. They are the reason I believe so deeply in creating artwork that lasts beyond screens.

Photography has always felt familiar.
My mom managed a portrait studio back when everything was still shot on film, and I spent a lot of time watching her work. Seeing families come into the studio and leave with something meaningful in their hands stuck with me early on. I knew from a young age that this was what I wanted to do.
As I grew into building my photography career, I started noticing something that never sat right with me. Pets were often included in family sessions, but rarely were they the focus. They were present, but not truly seen. I wanted my work to reflect the families who see their pets as part of the family, no matter what kind of pet that is.
More Than Just A Photo Session
I bring a studio-style setup into your home and design each session around your pet. I work with one pet per day so nothing feels rushed, and so your pet has the time they need to warm up, settle in, and show us who they really are.
